SNO*DRIFT RALLY

Sno*Drift has been the traditional opening of the U.S. rally season since 1997. This rally forces the competitors to hit the ground running, as it is one of the most challenging rallies on the calendar. What began in 1973 as part of the SCCA Performance Rally series, has become one of the most famed rally events in North America. This is in large part due to it being one of the only snow rallies in the world to not allow teams the use of studded tires- Michigan State law prohibits it.

In addition to the challenge of running non-studded tires, competitors face off against the fiercely dynamic weather conditions created by the rally’s proximity to the Great Lakes. Sno*Drift is also home to the famed “Bonfire Alley” special stage. This is a night stage where the entire length of the road is lined with bonfires built by the spectators. It’s a unique and sensational sight to experience. Sno*Drift was named Rally of the Year in 2005, 2011, and 2012. To find out more, visit ARA-Rally.com.
